Why Afterschool as Mission exists.
Operating a Christian afterschool or summer program is hard work, and most ministry leaders are doing it with little to no executive care and coaching, ministry consulting, or direct care staff training. Burnout isn't just a risk. For many executives and direct care staff, it's crouching at the door.
Meanwhile, local churches often overlook afterschool and summer programming as a powerful vehicle for outreach and evangelism.
Afterschool as Mission exists to change both realities, one program, one leader, and one church at a time. With 35 years in the out-of-school-time field — 21 of them leading a Christian afterschool and summer program — I know these challenges firsthand. I'm here to help you work through them.
